Catthorpe Manor Newsletter Latest News from Catthorpe Manor December 2011 With the cold weather firmly setting in and the grounds at the manor gloriously frosty most mornings, the team at Catthorpe Manor are now gearing up for a busy festive period and finalising plans for Christmas decorations. In a change to the usual Christmas décor, there will be real trees in both of the banqueting halls, the bar and the lounge, in addition to the magnificent tree that always graces the entrance hall to the manor. There will also be holly, fairy lights and tea lights twinkling away all over the venue and the overall effect will be inviting, cosy and romantic. A great opportunity to come and see the venue set for a winter wedding will be on Tuesday 6th December when Catthorpe Manor’s reception rooms and banqueting suite will be open for all to view. Our delicious, (and quite potent!) mulled wine will be available to try and warming mince pies for all, so why not join us from 6.30pm. Looking ahead to the new year, what a busy 2012 it will be! A complete renovation of the kitchens takes place in January, which will allow our catering team to come up with some new and creative additions to the menus. New menus will be available in the early new year and if you’d like a copy please just drop Helen a line. In March Catthorpe Manor’s team will be attending the NEC National Weddings Show, which looks set to be an extremely busy and hectic weekend. If you’re planning on attending please come and see us on stand B60, just opposite Gok Wan’s ‘How to Look Good Naked’ clinic! Next summer the grounds will play host to two fantastic theatre performances, when Chapterhouse Theatre Company bring a wonderful adaptation of Beauty and The Beast to the manor, which is a lively and enchanting story aimed at youngsters of all ages. The following month Chapterhouse returns with their critically acclaimed performance of Romeo and Juliet. As usual, grounds will be open before the shows start for picnics. Plus, there will be many more activities and events taking place, such as regular open evenings, tea in the gardens, wedding fairs and more. For a full list of events for 2012 please check out the events page on the website in the early new year. We hope to see you in 2012 and in the meantime wish you a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
